9 to 5

2022, Gouache

I wanted to depict an office job in an anthropomorphic scene where fitting into the ‘system” of the typical 9 to 5 isn’t built for everyone. The frog begins to fall out of the trance while the robotic pigs continue to work as programmed. It is left asking itself, “why am I here when I don’t belong?”, “When will this cycle end?”. It’s left up to viewer as to how they would react if they were put in the frogs shoes, or maybe they are already in their shoes.
